Lesson Gating is a feature that ensures students must complete each lesson step, in order, before moving on to the next step. For example, the primary article text will be blurred until students complete the "Ready" poll and submit their responses. Once completed, they will be able to advance to the full article text and continue through the lesson!
You can adjust the settings to limit gating to five-step lessons only or remove it entirely. This feature can also be applied to individual students or an entire class. With our new BTS update, our Class Settings have found a new place on your Homepage. If you would like to modify this feature, please follow the steps below:
1. Locate and Click on the Class/Student Settings tab at the top of your Homepage
2. Then, you will select the Student Settings tab
3. After making sure the correct class is applied, on the left hand side you will either select the specific student to edit settings or the entire class. From there you will click on the button on the bottom right labeled “Edit Selected Users”.
4. The options for Lesson Gating are Gate all lesson steps, gate five-step lessons only, or un-gate all lessons. Select the one you need and simply press Apply Settings.
